EKADASHI VRAT KATHA

Ekadashi day is the 11th day of every lunar fortnight as per Vedic Luni/Solar calendar. It occurs twice in a month, once during the Shukla Paksha and the Krishna Paksha respectively. Ekadashi is said to be a very auspicious day and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Fasting on this day is said to accrue health, wealth and happiness as well as peace and harmony in the family. When one dedicates the fruits of the Vrat to one’s forefathers he / she gets receives their blessings and attains success in life.
