Vishwakarma Puja falls on the last day of the Bengali month of Bhadra. It is also called as Kanya Sankranti or Bhadra Sankranti. The day is also known as Vishwakarma Jayanti and is dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma the divine architect.

Special prayers and pujas are observed in offices, shops, factories, and workplaces.

Devotees worship Lord Vishwakarma and his vehicle (Vahan) the elephant. After the puja is completed, Prasad is distributed among all devotees.

Workers on this day, also worship their tools.
